DSL Modem for Qwest

Hi All,
I guess this is a pretty lame question.

Wanted to know whether I can use any DSL modem along with Qwest DSL ?
Or do I have to mandatorily use a Qwest certified (ActionTec) modem ?

I was wondering if I could buy one cheap from FleaBay instead of purchasing / renting from Qwest.

Thanks in Advance !

So this probably means that most of the modems may work with different ISPs provided you know certain VCI and VPI numbers ?

Has anyone tried that with Qwest ?

Thanks.

Incredible News Jack and everyone. When I posted this I had no idea that Qwst would formally exit the DSL Modem Hardware Business but they have!!! This is truly the Opening of the DSL Modem Market in the U.S.
