DSL modem - Does bridge mode require PPPoE?

Right now my westell 6100 is set to routed bridge and to obtain ip thru DHCP. I do not use a user name or password.

To use a third party router, I would need to change to bridge, but in my area verizon does not offer PPPoE connections. So can it be set to bridge mode without a PPPoE account.

Unfortunately it is "It depends." There is no requirement for PPPoE for bridge mode so you need to ask your provider what settings they need.
