So I have been using I a cable connection at my house but just brought my copmuter home to my parents where they use dsl. My computer wont connect to the internet even though it says that it is connected. Packets are being sent but not recieved.
I have done all the ipconfig renew etc and it does not make a difference if it is plugged in through a router or not. I tried to ping the router and got no packets back.
