This service provides Units and Departments at the Ann Arbor Campus with a connection to one of three central networks, which interconnect them to the Internet, other computing services, and other Departments and Units on campus. There are various types and speeds of connections from which a department may select.

Type of Connection Speed Interface to LAN
Ethernet 10 Mbps half-duplex AUI, RJ-45, Fiber
FastEthernet 100 Mbps half- or full-duplex MII, RJ-45, Fiber
FDDI 100 Mbps half-duplex DAS
ATM 155 Mbps full-duplex OC3c
The bolded one. :p

Highest I've hit is 450ish. It's been a while since I've hit 300.

That's because DSL is not 1337.

Cable (for home users) is :D

Used to have 3Mbps, got bumped up to 5Mbps, I think now it's 6Mbps.

That's what I go home to at night. At work is when the fun occurs. :)

Eh I'm actually disappointed with my cable internet at the moment I can only hit about 700kb/s whereas at my university I'll sometimes hit 5megabytes a second but usually it's only 1.5 to 2Mb/s.....Gotta love uncapped bandwidth :D

Yeah, 3-4Mbit connections are no longer impressive with services like Fios and fibre connections becoming available to consumers.
