DSL is BETTER THAN CABLE MODEM

JASANITY

Cable modem sucked, and was around 2-3mbps(below their 3.0-6.0 mbps I pay for!) for $40! What a rip off compared to my AT&T DSL connection that I switched to. Only $27.99/mo for this first year at an average spped of 4.5mbps-5.5mbps!!! Some places I download 1000KB/sec! I live in a city next to San Jose, CA.

not always. it depends on how many houses you're sharing your cable with, or how close you are from the central phone company.

yeah right, you must have just hit refresh. I have never heard any download speeds at 20000kbps other than FIOS.

DSL or Cable i think depends on your particular ISP and their setup. for example at our main office DSL out performs Cable and at our branch in a different town cable out performs DSL. both towns are Bellsouth & Cox.

How are you getting greater than 3Mbps on at&t Yahoo! DSL? I have the pro package which caps out at 3Mbps.

Nonetheless, I'm still a DSL stalwart as well.

I have the DSL "Elite" Package available which is 3.0mbps to 6.0mbps. I am consistently 5.5 or higher, so a double bonus for getting that speed at such a low price =)
