DSL hardware question....what do I need?

I'll admit it, I've lived in the dial-up stone age when I'm at home and not on the university T1. However, my parents recently got DSL installed in the house and I am looking forward very much to trying it out when I get home in 10 days. However, I don't exactly know what kind of hardware I need on my PC for the connection.

Is my current 10/100 NIC and a CAT-5 patch cable all I need for a DSL line, or do I have to get a special DSL card?

I'm asking now because if I need different hardware I want to go ahead and order it now so it'll already be there for me to install when I stumble home jetlagged next week.

All you need is a functional NIC in your computer, with TCP/IP protocol installed; the "nice" DSL provider will give you Modem, and cables.

Ask for Ethernet External Modem. If you ever want to expand your computer to a Network.
