DSL for home/Dialup for Work: Can they operate together?

I have DSL for my personal use, but the only way I can connect to work is thru dialup. 28.8 at that! They're still dorking around trying to get VPN to work and you would be shocked at the company name!

Anyway, here is the problem. I want Explorer, Outlook, etc. apps to use my DSL connection and Netscape, TN3270 emulator, other work programs to use my dialup connection.

As it stands now when I am connected to work thru dialup, my work applications are fine but everything else tries to use it also (Explorer at 28.8, give me a break)

Is there a way to assign applications to a specific connection.

Thanks

Problem is that DUN sets itself as the default route in the routing table. If you have static internet and work IP addresses, you can edit the routing table, putting in static routes that direct work traffic to DUN's IP address and all other traffic to the DSL NIC's IP address. With a dynamic IP address it's not practical, as the gateway would change with each new connection.

You need to go to the property page of your dialup connection. You will see a TCP/IP settings button. Clicking on it will lead you to "TCP/IP Settings" dialog. You need to unckeck "use default gateway on remote computer". Once you have done that all your internet traffic including e-mail will use your DSL connection regardless dialup is inuse or not.
