DSL and wireless

I have two wireless laptops that were working fine on my network here at the office, but when I brought them out to use on an existing wireless network with a Linksys router and a DSL connection they can 'connect to the network' but they stall when they are attempting to find an IP address. What am I doing wrong here?

If it's a different router, you need to check settings on router.
Things like:
DHCP pool, MAC filter, encryption, etc.

Assuming that the router is set to DHCP (most home user routers are by default) the problem is probably a mis-typed encryption key.

This can easily happen with a WEP key, they're annoying as anything to type.
