DS3L Bios Updating

I have heard that the Gigabyte P35 DS3L Mobo is not compatible with the Q9450 out of the box & needs to be flashed with the latest bios, is there any way to do this with out buying an additional cheap cpu to flash it with?

I have asked this question in a couple topics but never got a reply to it, hopefully you can answer this question for me.

Hi Mr. Cragfin,

It depends on which model you have (GA-P35-DS3L (Rev 1 or 2) or GA-EP35-DS3L). My suggestion is to go to the product page of your specific board on the gigabyte website. On the right menu bar, go to CPU Support List. It will tell you the first BIOS version to offer support for your CPU for your board. Hopefully it will support out of the box.

If your board is an earlier revision, you still might want to try plugging in your CPU and booting. The board should be able to go into BIOS, making it possible to flash to the latest version.
