Just put another 2gb of ram in my pc to bring it up to 4gb, however the board doesnt seem to want to hold any overclock. I had it running with a 460mhz FSB at 3.22ghz on 2gb, but as soon as I take it above 266mhz FSB with 4gb it will run for a while and then blue screen. I have heard of people have problems when going to 4gb of ram so I was curious if there is anything I can do to get my OC back. thanks

Specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate x64
Intel C2D E6300
Gigabyte 965P-DS3
4gb G.Skill PC6400
MSI Nvidia 8800 GTS 640mb

I seem to recall in the MB manual some limits on RAM speed with all 4 slots filled. Have you studied your manual on this issue?

I run DS3 rev 3.3 F10 with 4x1GB Corsair XMS 2 no problem now. I was at 450 FSB but went down to 400 to run my fans at lower speed for quieter/cooler computing. I'm using default CPU voltage and the recommended 1.9v for memory. I was having problems booting too but it turns out it's a problem with this board and it may not be your memory at all. I had to clear the CMOS serveral times, overclock to the same settings and it magically worked.

The manual notes that certain memory types and certain sizes have issues, not all.

Well after playing with the settings for a while I was able to get it to run stable at 400 FSB, but as soon as I take it any higher it starts to have problems. I am going to update the bios later today to F10 and see if that helps at all, running F7 right now. I'll update here once I try it out.

I moved to 4gb recently with my DS3 and found no trouble whatsoever and maintained my 3ghz (375FSB) on my e6400. This with 2 sticks Patriot 667 + 2 sticks Supertalent 667. Same voltage but relaxed timings (5,5,5,13).

I'm at 3ghz (8x 375) with my E4300 and 4GB of Supertalent 667. 4-4-4-12 timings, DDR2 750. I never tried overclocking with 2 GB, but I have a feeling it might not be that much of an improvement because I need 1.425v to reach 3.0GHz. Although if I did lessen the strain on the memory controller I might be able to get higher. Maybe if I'm bored over spring break I'll see how high I can get with 2 GB...
