Are DS3 and T3 different technologies, or the same thing?

I believe DS3 is the common term outside the US, while T3 is used here.

DS3 and T3 are commonly interchanged.

In actuality, DS3 is the type of signal that is transported on a T3 circuit.

And I think Viper GTS meant that T3 is used in North America, while E3 is used elsewhere. 😉

they are not the same.

DS3 is the signalling, T3 is the channel. Same for DS1/T1.

But for all intents and purposes you can use them interchangibly.
