I built a system with an Ultra X-Finity 500w supply and motherboard would beep, but then follows weird sound zzzzzzz like heavily distored long beeps, and it repeats several times. But it could boot. If I restart it, it would beep (single short) as normal. I thought maybe PSU has not enough juice. So I ordered an OCZ GameXstream 700W PSU which can handle even 1900XTX CS.
Today new PSU arrived and I swapped it and thought everything would be fine. But, zzzz sounds still follows single beep. I shut down the system. When I reboot it, it won?t even beep, just ?zzzz? like speaker is broken but it still boots. I wonder if it is normal. Is my MB defected?
BTW, I am not over clocking, all run at stock speed. Thanks for help.
