Im getting a ds for my lil bro's birthday. He's 14, and the psp is just too expensive. So therefore Ds>PSP. Cant go wrong with that nintendo lovin.

how anyone could select the DS over the PSP is beyond me (unless it is a budget issue)

Flames, cursing, and the word "fanboy" used repeatedly.

What will this thread result in?

Neither. Get an Advance SP, save money to use for some good games.

The first redesign of the PSP will probably be worth buying.

I'm going to wait awhile myself. I'm extremely tempted, but will do the best to hold on until the first price drop/second revision.

I would've got him a psp. But he loves zelda and animal crossing. I just couldnt resist seeing the lil guy having a blast playing zelda on there.

psp is for an older audience, so you're a good big brother :)

For me its a budget issue, so I picked up a used DS with some games for a pretty decent price off of H. I'd love to get my hands on a PSP, but I'm waiting until I can pick one up used AND after they've worked out any bugs that need to be fixed.

Come to think of it, all my consoles have been used. No, wait, my GB Pocket and GB Color were new, but I didn't buy them haha.

Anywho, at this moment, DS > PSP, but that is liable to change after I actually USE a PSP,

I got a PSP today but I can see why people would want a DS. Right now the PSP is priced way to high. The worst part is the PSP games are 40 and 50 bucks. I signed up for gamefly today because I just can not see paying 50 bucks for a stripped down game. I like my PSP a lot the screen rocks but I have some regrets because of the high prices of everything from the system to the games to the accessorys.

i agree. the 1st iterations of new hardware always have some kind of issue that's greatly improved with revisions.

and not to mention the fact that better games will be out later.

Good choice, and Nintendo is bound to come out with some games for it someday, I know I can hardly wait.

If I was often in situations where a handheld would be nice, I'd get the PSP. But as it is, I am never in those situations, so I'll just stick to consoles at home.

PSP, no contest. Nintendo is gonna release a new handheld soon because the DS doesnt stand a chance
