DS-263N problem

I just got the DoubleSight DS-263N 26 inch LCD monitor. Everything looks great until I try to watch a movie or play a game. Then everything becomes very muddy. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Like there's a gray tint over everything and everything seems very washed out. It loses it's color and just becomes very...gray. The problem seems worse with darker scenes.

I have tried using VGA and the other DVI port with the same problem. I also get the problem when trying to connect another source to the monitor, so the problem isn't in my PC. I would take a photo if I had a working camera.

Anyone that understands what I'm trying to say have any suggestions?

Does it look like the pictures in this post? The monitor could be defective.
