Dryer Repair question

Well not sure where to ask this, but Anandtechers seem to be the most knowledgable out of all the people I know, so figured I'd start here. Just moved from natural gas to LP and I forgot to convert the dryer it ran for a few days, and than konked out. still spins but doesn't heat. Wondering if anyone knows what it would be. Its a Kenmoore dryer built in about 1987.
Thanks

in 1987, the dryer was most likely made by whirlpool. It was likely overheated, and a safety of some kind melted cutting off the fuel supply.

Yeah it says kenmoore inside and whirlpool outside. Any idea what would have cut the gas off? I checked the thermal fuse on the exhaust and it was still good.

Is the ignitor glowing? If not, the gas valve won't open. Or if the ignitor doesn't get hot enough, the valve won't open.

If I were you, I'd be buying a repair manual for it. We've got appliance parts stores here that sell the manuals, with fellows behind the counter who don't mind dispensing advice if you spend a few bucks there. Check your Yellow Pages for similar stores.

LP uses different sized orifices for the burner than Natural Gas. They are either carboned up, or melted too large to ignite.
Replace the burner with the correct one for the fuel.
RTFM....😎😀

If I still had it I would😛

The ignitor's not glowing, going to pull the burner out and scope it out tomorrow, and will let ya know what I find
