Dryer cleanout???

I pulled the front kick-panel down but it looks like the first thing to see is the belt guard (?).

It's a front load, in-door lint-screen type dryer. (Kenmore).

It keeps making the "full lint-screen" whine alarm as soon as the lintscreen gets barely full.

Aside from just taking things apart, I was wondering if anybody had any tips/tricks?

TIA

(Yes, I'm convinced the household appliances & electronics are officially out to get me) 😛

Ya, I'm pretty sure, but I'd much rather get it from the front rather than have to pull the sucker out & get at the back, but that may be my only option.

:disgust: 😛

Remember, this lint-screen model is the kind where you open the dryer door & it's right inside there on the bottom lip of the dryer's doorsill.

I'm thinkin' I'm just gonna have to pull the dryer out & get at it from the back by removing the vent tube & reachin' in there. (Prolly take the vent tube out to the driveway & give it a good blow thru with the air compressor too).

Boooo!

Hehe...I saw the thread title and summary at a glance, and KNEW it was you who posted before even looking over to see who the OP was😉

on our dryer that top lifts up like a hood of a car. i think its just a few clips that hold it down. i get the vacuum hose and compressed air in that way to clean out the inside of our dryer.

I think Eli's got it.

There's a straight tube that goes from the front straight to the back along the bottom. I think that there *may* be lint backed up there, but I think the dead-ringer is in the outlet hose..(vent tube)...as it's the only real place that changes multiple directions and is pleated.....(perfect place to catch & keep dust bunnies).

I'll kick my dryer's @$$ in the morning!!! 😉

(Mx knows my household stuff is against me this week)..........😉
