I tried reading the handbook a lil and still am confused. Is postnuke or joomla really easy to use? My host does have fantastico.. I just heard that drupal was one of the most popular cms out there. thanks for the info so far

Actually they're all pretty easy but I haven't messed with drupal much. See what Fantastico lets you install (for CMS mine does drupal/joomla/mambo/xoops/few others I haven't heard of). That method will save you hours of headaches with php and MySQL databases.

i just got confused with drupals terms..im new to cms and wanted to try it out for a site that im doing..nothing fancy.. i def know that joomla and postnuke and a bunch of others (prob the same as you) are available. Are there easy instructions out there for either of those 2 cms? do you have a favorite out of all of them or just prefer postnuke and joomla? thanks again for the insite.

I didn't really follow a HOWTO on it. The easiest way to learn is to just set it up (from Fantastico), login as admin, and mess around with it to your heart's content. Don't worry about all the server config stuff for now, just get the hang of adding articles, news, sections, FAQs, links, etc. Trust me it's easy once you get used to it. I know both Joomla and Postnuke very well (Joomla seems to be faster) so if I were you I'd use Joomla.

joomla already seems way easier to use. I'm going to read the quick start guide and stuff. Thanks again for the info! I sort of get how to use it but trying to figure out how to edit the banners and put my logos up instead.
