This. He also said "Who the fuck are you" to that dude in the beginning. It looks like they were just punks messing with people rolling through. His buddy was telling people to not stop and just keep driving.

It's cool that he got some shots in, but getting jumped by a group sucks, so I don't blame him for splitting after he lost the bat.

I'm not sure where this took place, but if he got out with a gun would he have been prosecuted? I assume yes, since he COULD have just driven away. Shame though, those punks deserve to be shot for doing that to people. I hope they at least got a few broken bones, and from the sound of those cracks thats just what may have happened.

The shirtless guy got hit in the head with the bat, yet he's still up and walking around? I would've thought a hit like that would've done a lot more damage.

He was drunk. I bet he will really be feeling that in the morning.

this is why I keep a GUN in my car

I could have exited my vehicle and then instead of whipping out a bat, whip out my "fortay" and then dropped those thugs w/ one clip

Then I would speed off to find a hooker and get some sex to re=vamp my health

lol one of the many bad things about living in Jersey, can't get a permit to carry. If I could, I would.

yeah, in a lot of states you can only use deadly force if you have no option, you have a duty to retreat. The guy clearly had an option to retreat but came back. that would not look good in any court. not that I am defending the criminals, but imo, this situation would not be justification for shooting.

I call it a good thing, and thank god I don't live near the ATOT gun nuts

Thats because you dont know any facts. If you did, you would know CCW laws bring crime down.

Myth: Concealed carry laws increase crime

Fact: Thirty-nine states282, comprising the majority of the American population, are "right-to-carry" states. Statistics show that in these states the crime rate fell (or did not rise) after the right-to-carry law became active (as of July, 2006). Nine states restrict the right to carry and two deny it outright.

Fact: Crime rates involving gun owners with carry permits have consistently been about 0.02% of all carry permit holders since Florida’s right-to-carry law started in 1988.283

Fact: After passing their concealed carry law, Florida's homicide rate fell from 36% above the national average to 4% below, and remains below the national average (as of the last reporting period, 005).284

Fact: In Texas, murder rates fell 50% faster than the national average in the year after their concealed carry law passed. Rape rates fell 93% faster in the first year after enactment, and 500% faster in the second.285 Assaults fell 250% faster in the second year.286

Fact: More to the point, crime is significantly higher in states without right-to-carry
laws287:

Fact: States that disallow concealed carry have violent crime rates 11% higher than
national averages.288

If there is a possible threat on your life, then and only then you use lethal force. This may have been a case where simply slightly brandishing (which is legal in many states), may have solved the issue, or escalated it. If the guy came up to my window, busted it out, i'd slightly draw and tell him I have a weapon and to step away from my vehicle, if the assault continued then it'd go from there. The instant he makes a move towards me is when I'd draw.

Drunk people are just as bad as drug addicts in some cases and they don't know when to stop and will physically get so worked up that you can't calm them down.

if you're in your car driving and someone busts it out, why the hell would you even stick around?

I wouldn't, but if for some reason I couldn't get out of there quickly then you must prepare to defend yourself.

Kinda like that stupid bumfights video that circulated the web for a while.

Interesting, yet your nick is 'slayer202.'

Slayer: One who slays; a killer; a murderer; a destroyer of life.

Thankfully, Missouri has the Castle Doctrine, which applies to your house and car. But in that case, driving away, reporting it to the police and filing an insurance claim for the damage would be a lot less hassle than two in the chest, one in the head.
