DANVILLE --A Harrodsburg man was charged with causing two collisions Tuesday night as he drove a pickup with no headlights on along the U.S. 127 bypass. A woman was injured in one crash, Danville police said.

Brent McGinnis, 42, was charged with driving under the influence, two counts of felony wanton endangerment, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and leaving the scene of an accident, police said.

Last we heard, Beth has these injuries:

7 Broken Ribs..... 2 or 3 of them are broke in multiple places
Spleen injury
Shoulder is Fractured
Arm is Fractured
Small Puncture in 1 Lung
Heart has a skip...going to put her on a EKG for observation

Somehow she's expected to make a full recovery... keep her in your prayers if you don't mind.

And there were people who were saying the "mean mom" was too harsh on her kid for having booze in the car.

Hope it all turns out ok.

Wow, hope she heals fast. Was she wearing her seatbelt? What happened to the other guy?

McGinnis was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, where he was treated for cuts. Police said he was combative with emergency medical technicians and hospital staff.

McGinnis also was charged with "failure to illuminate" the truck's headlights. He was being held in the Boyle County jail.

seems like the drunks never get hurt

Sorry to hear that, Joemonkey. Hope your co-worker has a rapid and as painless as possible recovery.

Drunk drivers really piss me off these days, especially those that get combative/think they deserve the right to drive drunk, extra-especially those that have been convicted multiple times, and still haven't been welded into a prison cell (or given that frontal labotomy they deserve). Whenever I watch a show on tv, when they bring a drunk into jail, and they're combative, I find myself urging the cops on tv to smack the you know what out of that fool! :|

Sadly, suing these people is usually a waste of time, since they seldom have the money to pay their drunk driving fines, let alone lawsuits or lawyers. Personally, I'd rather that the law allow their victims 5 minutes of pinata time with them!!

They don't because they're drunk and never tense up when they are about to collide. Same as people sleeping.
