Drumset Music

I'm looking for some artist or just music albums with just plain drumming with just a drumset
I find it odd that it's rare. Anyone have any ideas of where I could find some drumming albums like this? Thanks.

What type of style? Rather, do you want style? If so, look for something by well known jazz drummers... Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Art Blakey, Philly Jo Jones, Louie Bellson, etc. They usually have several long, extended solos.

yeah, I just like basically any style, But I would prefer like a rock genre of drums... but It's just so hard to find pure drumming anywhere. I love listening to drums though, some people call me weird for it, but I like it!

are you talking about d&B ?

Nope, Drumming like just a Drumset, nothing more... Just pure drumming on a drumset like a Tama set or something of that nature.

If you pick up some workshop videos, that's all it is. Carter Beauford (among others) have them teaching you some pretty cool stuff. 🙂

Cool! alright, I wish I could get a drumset but I'll be heading off to college soon, and we all know the other people in the apartment complexes wouldn't like that... I'll have to buy a set of electronic input drums to hook up to the computer and rock out silently! haha

Pick up some drumsticks. They're cheap even for a college student. You should be able to find a practice pad at any music shop, too. Pick up some books on the 13 basic rudiments and learn them both with match and traditional grips. That'll keep you busy for a while. 🙂
