i enjoyed the movie. watched it on tnt. not the best. but its still enjoyable

DITTO. It wasn't like big-budget movie but I liked the beat and performance of the band (it takes hardwork to come up with those kind of moves. I give them credit for that!).

Drumline is pretty good, especially considering what it was trying accomplish. Black College marching bands is huge. They have like this super bowl like event now. To try and make a movie to try and truly capture the spirit and nature of the competition is truly tough. Its like the old cliche pictures just don't do it justice. But there is no way anyone can watch the last 5 minutes and not like the the way those bands played. No way. Not anyone with an once of band knowledge. Not only was the drumlines tight, the steps were sweet too. But for some of yall they do have the Mummers, which might be more your speed, lol. 🙂

We actually agree on something.

But I also saw something else.

He lies and screws up by thinking he's entitled to everything. But instead of being rewarded for that, he takes his licks like a man and accepts being cut from the band. When offered a sweet deal to betray his band, he turns it down. The band leader sticks to his ethics and Devon is NOT allowed back on the line.

The ethics in the movie are very good. That alone made it a decent movie, in my eyes.
In mine too.

I thought the drumline wasn't very good and they stuff they were playing (especially the style of their music) was pretty bad....

If you think they were awesome, you haven't seen anything. Has anyone watched a drumline in a division I DCI drum corps? They're literally 1000 times better... it's incredible. I can host some videos or sound files if anyone wants. The visual shows are amazing--their marching shows are incredibly complex and well-polished.

The band in "drumline" on the other hand...

Dude don't bash biker boyz. I've seen motorcycles go fast enough enough to run out burning gas lines and explode windows. 😛
