Drugs are bad...Unless they are prescribed for pain.

Sitting at home for the next two week on short term disability. Just had my foot cut open and surgery to repair some problems I have been having. These issues come form a congenital birth defect, and they had become too painful to manage with non invasive methods.

So now I get to sit at home and nef all day for the next 2 weeks. 😀

I have to keep the foot elevated, and I must also use a tens unit to help stimulate healing and blood flow, as well as keep the swelling down.

I have ultracet and Hydracodone for pain management as well. That stuff is good. In the next 30 minutes to an hour I will be so loopy I won't care what happens.

Time to put in a movie or 2 and veg out.

You mean prescribed for "pain"? I was wondering who pai was, through our whole post.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and good luck coping with the pai. 🙂

Hydrocodone is habit forming. It is possible become physically and/or psychologically dependent on the medication. Do not take more than the prescribed amount of medication or take it for longer than is directed by your doctor. Withdrawal effects may occur if hydrocodone and acetaminophen is stopped suddenly after several weeks of continuous use. Your doctor may recommend a gradual reduction in dose.

I am using mostly ultracet, a non-narcotic in conjunction with the tens unit. Last time I used hydracodone, I had a very interesting conversation with my dog, and then called my girlfriend to tell her about it.

heh yeah.

I am a chronic pain patient (Rheumatoid Arthritis, fibromyalgia the main ones heh) and i can pretty much get anything i want. i get Vicodin ES with a phone call.

i have a few bottles sitting on my desk lol.

Dang it, I am on painkillers and you folks are busting my balls on spelling? Sheeeeeesh this is a tough audience.

I was on Ultracet for years. i was deperssed when it stoped doing any good.

Whben i first started takeing Hydrocodone it did effect me. though not as bad as you had it. though if i take 2 at once it really makes me feel good.

oh one time i got a shot of diludide (sp?) and man i felt great. besides the no pain at all i started playing SM3 and laughing my ass off. my wife was a little worried on that heh

My wife has fibro....eats her up, too, and she's been taking Vicodin for years herself.

Me....I'm fighting shingles. DAMN stuff HURTS LIKE HELL!!!

Got Lortabs prescribed (like a double Vicodin) and pretty much all I want for the next..........ummmmmmmmmm......Doc said it could take a year to get rid of the pain.

Unfortunately, taking a whole Lortab does little except make me not care that my shoulder has a handful of nails jammed into the joint and that little guy won't quit with the circular saw in my elbow, either.

Lortab is just another name for Vicodin actually, it's the same thing just manufactured by a different company.
