Drug Wars: My solution

Okay, my thread got a little wild. Several nice individuals took the time to send me private messages and I have thus been able to come to a solution, of sorts.

I am going next door to talk to my friend about the fact that his habit is not one for the faint of heart and is not one of univeral acceptance. I never did mention that the fellow using the drugs is one of my friends from when I was little to today. I don't want to hurt my friend, just try to help him.

He, as far as I know, no longer uses weed, he just lets the dealers stash their merchandise in his room.

I will ask him to see if he could get his dealer friends to stash their drugs elsewhere or I will be forced to call the police and have the dealers arrested and his room searched.

I feel confident that a nice conversation will clear things up. My friend is not a bad person nor is he stupid. He has had a turbulent family life and well, drugs were an escape from the ruins around him.

I'm sorry if I angered folks on ATOT, I just had to let loose and clear my head of anger and avoid an incident.

I wouldnt want my kids growing up next door to a known drug user and/or dealer...

uh, i disagree. you tell friend, friend tells his dealers they cant stash their stuff anymore cause his neigherbor said so, neighbor can no longer post when 6' under. just call the police on him, do what's safest for you and your family, forget what is best for him.

A true friend would try to keep his friend out of trouble. Also, family comes first.

I didn't read the other thread, but if they are really heavy into drugs you should just report your suspicions to the police. I wouldn't confront them like that. Good luck.
