Haha, now does this guy only get charged if the substance is later found ? Or can they nail this guy assuming it was drugs, just wondering.
 
Not a lawyer but around here they'd still be able to charge him with obstruction of justice.

What, for releasing a balloon from his van? Unless they get that balloon or have proof what was in it, what can they do? Littering?
 
They need those balloons or video proof of him putting drugs in the balloons to charge him.

Pretty intuitive, imho.

Drug cartels do it all the time to float stuff over the border.
 
So all I need to do is hide my drugs in a drone in the back of a truck and if I get pulled over just hit the return home button and laugh.

Pretty sure that police can't discharge firearms unless in purposes of subduing a violent suspect or something like that. Shooting into the air could potentially kill someone a mile away.
 
In a world that made any sense at all, the fine for littering would be infinitely higher than a fine for drug possession.
 
idgi, how much could that little baggie possibly be worth? I don't know anything about drugs unrelated to acne clearance and hair regrowth, but surely a cocaine/heroin/etc dealer would have a lot more than that on him.

we're assuming it's a dealer.

but also, dealers, or the lowest level of them, for instance, tend to only carry several 20 bags on them, or just the amount their selling to reduce risk.

could also just be a pipe head. the whole scene is very crackheadish. this will be his claim to fame.
