I'm dropping Seventeen or Bust, they're slowing down my systems even with idle priority. The Neo Project WU's go by much faster and don't mess with my performance. So what exaxctly is the goal for the Neo Project?

Put shortly, the goal is to solve the RSA-576 factoring challenge. I don't know what the detailed description of that would be, because the Neo project site is down right now.
 
I'm really suprised that the SB client slowed down your systems. I had it on 3 or 4 of my rigs and saw no performance changes. The NEO client is nice too though. Very fast 🙂
