Dropping out of games/benchmarks after installing VIA 4in1 Driver

After installing the VIA 4in1 driver, I kept dropping out from 3D games such as Ghost Recon & Medal of Honor. Even 3Dmark kick me out back to desktop after installing the driver. I tried both new & old driver but still doesn't work right. I also got the latest graphic driver from Nvidia. What could be the problem? If I don't install the VIA driver, everythin works fine but the graphic speed is terrible. Anyone face the same problem & able to solve it before? BTW, I am using AMD Athlon, Epox m/b & GeForce 2 card. Hope someone can help here. TQ

Which OS & motherboard model are you using? Anyway disable all video shadowing & system bios cacheable in BIOS,disable fastwrites, set AGP size to 64mb or 128mb,try running at 1x or 2x AGP mode in bios.

Alrite, im having almost the same problems as holyghost...they may be the same thing i dunno but check this out.

Im running athlon xp1900 on an epox 8kha+ and a radeon 8500, running on 2k pro, the cpu temps are running around 49 idle, and 52 or so load, when i run most games, or rather any games, black and white, ghost recon, tony hawk 3....it will freeze, video will freeze but audio keeps playing..i have updated the bios, the 4 in 1, and the latest radeon drivers, at first i thought maybe my cpu was running too hot, but i think i can safely say that it could be my radeon...safe to say?

besides the tips mentioned above anyone have any other ideas?

I'm using an 800 Athlon in an epox 8kta+ with a Geforce2 GTS/Pro. When I tried the 4in1's (both times) it messed my harddrive, strange random characters, and I had to reformat. So I have been wary of them since, at least now I have ghost.

Hmmm possible,I`m using the Epox 8KHA+ with WinXP and GF2 Ti with no problems,I even installed the latest 4 in 1 drivers (4.38) and it`s rock stable, anyway you can try diferent ATi drivers and see if that helps, you can try "normal" setting for ram speed rather then "turbo " in bios ,this may or may not help with your problem.
