Dropped motherboard

I dropped my ps3 motherboard while cleaning it and preparing to recall the thermal glue on the heat sync. The surface capacitor became partially disconnected. Should I attemp repair or throw away how hard would it be. Any help appreciated. picture of problem.

Getting back to your problem, if you're experienced at soldering, you may be able to re-attach the capacitor with a low wattage, fine pointed soldering iron. If you don't have much experience, a friend or a local repair technician may be able to help you for a lot less than it would cost to replace the motherboard.

Why not try to fix it? If it doesn't work then get another MB.

Looks to me like you have partially pulled the leads out of the capacitor. You need to replace it, not re-attach it.

Does the motherboard still work?... shove a piece of paper under there so it doesn't wiggle (if it does), good to go.

I'm not even joking... unless the actual solder part broke, it's probably nothing to worry about, those capacitors are basically just floating there, simply being "detached" doesn't mean any damage actually happened just that it got bumped.
