Over the holiday season, I managed to drop the bag with my D90 and kit 18-105mm lens roughly 4 feet onto a hard tile floor. As soon as I had a chance, I inspected everything and it looked to be okay. That was until a couple days ago I actually took out my camera for some pictures and I noticed the zooming element on the lens is loose and wobbly.
When zoomed out completely, it's no longer flush with the lens body, it sits about 1mm out. Zoomed out all the way, it wobbles 1/4" in every direction. Is something like this reparable? I was planning on getting the 16-85mm lens this summer to replace it regardless, so I'm not exactly crushed if it is beyond repair.
