Hey guys,
whats your take on having/not having undergrad GPA on your resume? I'm in my first year of grad school (Masters in Applied Economics - Finance ) and contemplating if it's a good idea. My Grad gpa is much better than undergrad (4.0 vs 3.2)

this has been discussed before but....

I've never had my GPA on my resume. I don't think it matters. Some people (and companies) do. If you have a 4.0 in grad school, that's probably a nice addition though.

Depending on who you are sending the resume to.

Sending to an academic organization for some sort of acceptance - yes.

Sending to a potential employer for a job offer - no.

high end finance jobs will usually ask for it if you're fresh out of undergrad; no clue how it works in Grad school though

keep both or drop both. If you have one and not the other, it raises questions that you probably don't want to be asked. (this is the case for me). So, I have left it off for both, even though i have graduated with a 3.96 from my masters. I got a 2.09 in undergrad.

You definately need your GPA on your resume if you are fresh out of college, and are applying based on your education instead of your experience. Both of those GPA's are good, so list them both, with of course more emphasis on your PostGrad GPA. After several jobs, I dont feel the need to list my GPA anymore, but I very well might consider it if I were sporting a 4.0 in college.

Unless your GPA is 4.0/4.0 then I woudn't list it.

Employers are just really concerned that you have the degree that's all. Unless your getting hired for the CIA, FBI etc.... In which case they want to know in detail.

GPA only matters if you have nothing else to show for yourself. If you have job experience or, in your case, more recent education, your college GPA is no longer relevant.
