Honey, you don't even want to know what the people I worked with used to do to candy stashes on my last job. There were some nights that I truly felt sorry for the people whose PCs we migrated. They would leave work with a full candy dish and windows NT and come back the next day with windows XP and an empty candy dish. I mean, they did get a better operating system but to leave the poor users with no candy?...that's just cruel.

What really made it worse was when XP couldn't go on the machine and we had to put NT back. No candy and being stuck with NT is just a fate worse than death.

The real kicker is that before my last job I hardly ever ate candy 'cause I'm just not into sweets (chips and pretzels are my thing), but once the beginning of the year hit and I started practically living at work I pretty much lived off candy. I was fortunate (or maybe unfortunate) enough to have worked there around Christmas and Easter and lets just say that it was almost like being in Willy Wonka's shocolate factory. There was so much candy and such a variety that I probably would have gained 30lbs if I wasn't on my feet the entire night (to add to the problem there were 2 chocolate stores within a block from each other). I do admit though that I got to try some pretty good stuff. This one girl I worked with brought in some chocolate that was actually filled with liquor (can't remember what specifically but it was definately liquor).

After a while though people started to lock up their candy dishes before they left.....never figured out what drove them to such drastic measures...

Damn sweets. Must you tempt me and create a possible breakage from my no sweets clause.
