Even if it is real it'd have to come out fairly soon. Who knows maybe it will be a very "cheap" solution as if it comes out later it would have to compete with MP K78s... MMMM, inexpensive dual nForce...

Ooh! Look at the AMD 8131 chipset and RAID options! ;):D AMD 8131 supports up to 6.4GBps bandwidth (on nForce2 could only peak at 800MBps), and you can also use 32-Bit, 33MHz and 64-Bit, 66Mhz (or ANY combination) at the same time without performance losses. Drool, this and Dual Bartons... Fork up the $$$!

I'd go ahead with nForce2 unless you want to wait for a while. I don't think this will be out real soon (probably 3 months away at least).

Umm..
no native serial ata (seems they're still using a chip from a 3rd party manufacturer)
still has 2 eide ports (i'd prefer 1 for older cd roms)
floppy connector (just buy external floppy and use usb port)
serial, parallel ports?
no firewire in back plate.. still use pins in mobo

The rest looks nice.. snoogens :D

I think you are right about the wait time, if they even ship them at all. This leaves me stuck :) If I wait 3months for the nForce FX I should just suck it up and wait 3 more months and hold out for the Athlon-64's appearance. Ah decisions, decisions...

A lot, but looks to be well worth it :)

The problem with the 760MPX chipset is it is based on the old 760 single CPU chipset. So the AGP and memory controler are not as strong as a KT333, KT400, or nForce2. So this board should allow the 64bit/66Mhz ports, updated sound, dual Athlon's (maybe 333Mhz bartons), and of Course nForce memory controller.

I think the 760MPX boards were around $300 when they first hit, so I would guess around there, give or take.
