Let me post my obligatory "it doesn't have enough horsepower" and "weighs too much" remark.

<--posts this in all supercar threads where hp is under 650 and weight is greater than 3k lbs.

That said, this looks like an incredible daily driver!!!! I like the no cost a/c, bose and navigation system...:D

Looks like a Porsche version of Acuras NSX....Not For Me.

I like my Porsches to look like Porsches. Not Ferraris or Acuras.

3.9 seconds isn't THAT impressive for a 0-62.5 time, right? But yeah, the car looks friggin' SCHWEEEEEEEEET

It only does 0-63 in 4 seconds... lol, and 400k? Anybody can afford 400k now a days.
*End sarcasm

I like the placement of the stick shifter. An Idea taken by Honda. I can only imagine the road side assistance that comes with a car worth 400,000 . They better not scratch it!

Ughhh, this car doesn't look at all like an NSX. I see styling cues in the front end of the current generation Boxer, and the taillights look like they were ripped directly off the 911.

So far, though, every one of the roughly 1000 advance buyers have opted to get the no-cost A/C, Bose audio, and navigation systems.
How nice of them to add these as "no-cost options" to my already $400,000 vehicle. How much weight do these items save by having them removed? Less than 100lbs? I have a hard time seeing anybody giving up the added convenience just to cut a second off their lap time around Nurburgring.

Oh, no! I imagine Porsche is frantically redesigning based on your input . . .

The car has zero resemblence to an NSX, or to a Ferrari for that matter.

I agree that this car looks nothing like an NSX or a Ferrari...very nice...love the suspension setup.

If I had the extra 400K it would be a contender...heck if I even had 400K :)~

Its actually 62.5mph in 3.9 seconds, which it puts its 0-60 at right around 3.8 seconds. Porsche has consitently underestimated their 0-100km times in the past with the 911 and I have no trouble believing that journalists will find 3.7-3.8 seconds hitting 100km later this year.

I'd even take a gander at 3.5 - 3.6 seconds for the car. It'll smoke for sure and it looks 10x better than an Enzo or Murcielago.

Who needs audio when you have a 605HP V10 singing for you in the back!

A blower would make it undriveable? Bah! Wussie Germans!!! I'd want it RUF baby!

And 3.5 seconds? Heck yeah, ditch those super low profile tires for something with a tad more sidewall and mebbe a set of drag radials... you can definitely give the McLaren F1 a run for it's money. Just gotta know how to launch it!

How the hell can you see any Ferrari or Acura in this thing? Other than the fact that it's mid engine & shares (with the NSX) the odd proportions inherent to the design there is NOTHING resembling either.

People find it easy to believe cars look like other cars when they want to believe that. And that's what everyone does on this forum. "It looks like an Audi TT" "It looks like a G35" "It looks like an NSX".

You guys should read the review of the Carrera GT in the CAR maganize. It has awesome pics and reading material. They even said it was so daily driveable that it could be driven by women.

The deeper you delve under the skin the more you realise that, like all Porsches, the Carrera GT has been designed to be a 24/7 supercar, capable of being driven all day, every day.
