Can't say I'm surprised. It's the best phone in the world on the best carrier in the United States. Everyone who was wanting an N1 on Verizon bought or is buying this plus everyone who was just waiting for the Incredible.

Wow I actually didn't expect it to sell out anywhere at all.

Do you still have your Droid by the way? I have mine at home but I'm probably thinking I should just go ahead and sell it since I got my Incredible yesterday.

Probably going to renew one of my lines in October and get this phone unless something even better arrives by then. Currently have 4 lines and none are eligible for upgrade until then :(

Verizon is too expensive. And they want a deposit.

Otherwise, I loved the network and the service. #1 carrier in everything (Network, Devices, Support and Price)

They wanted a deposit? Is your credit score in the 300's?

i went to try and upgrade my phone and it states order will ship by 5/4 now... new batch apparently. Anyway, as much as I'm itching for a new phone, I still can't justify committing an additional $600 in internet (3G) fees for the next 2 years I may not even use all that often. If only they didn't mandate you keep the data pkg throughout.

rh71, honestly, there's no real point to having a phone like that w.o the data. i used to think the same thing as you - but once i made the smartphone jump, i can't ever see myself going back.

the only exception(IMO) would be a non-data blackberry pearl but ONLY for the suretype keyboard.

^ I have the HTC Titan smartphone with wifi... wifi is all I need because of my work-at-home situation... home 90% of the time. Just wanted to upgrade smartphones. I mean I wouldn't mind trying out 3G for a few months but committing to 2 years right off the bat is a bit much. I could always buy it off-contract but it's a lot of $$$ that way too. Anyway, didn't want to derail the thread, just my thoughts as I continue to contemplate.

I want the Incredible on Sprint. I love my Sprint bill but my Hero is getting long in the tooth and I don't want an EVO.

I think Verizon really got surprised by the demand for this phone when they started takings pre-orders. Fed-ex delivered mine this morning and just getting around to messing with it now. My first smartphone - Android or otherwise - so I'm pretty blown away with it so far.

Nexus One is still coming to Sprint. As long as you don't mind losing the Sense UI(there are ways to get it on there if you really wanted) it's the same phone.

They are practically the exact same phone minus the EVO having 720p recording.

Other than the fact that the EVO is huge. I need a phone that will fit in a shirt pocket, the EVO isn't that phone.
