Anyone else notice this? My touch input is noticeably more laggy than it was with 2.1. I've done a full factory reset too and that didn't help much.

Mine is significantly faster now. No problems with touch input.

Hmm a factory reset should have helped. Mine is also much much faster with 2.2.

Mine is running fine - as fast as ever after the 2.2 update. Something is probably wrong with the software you're running on your phone... have you updated everything?

are you running a task killer?
how many widgets do you have going?
check your running services to see if you have anything running that shouldn't be.
live wallpaper?

Yea check these, IIRC froyo has a more agressive task manager built in and if you have your own running you may be actually hindering performance. 2.2 flies on my droid.

2.2 runs great on my D.Inc. Though I will say 2.1 ran great too, but everything does feel just a bit smoother.

Give it more time to sync at the beginning too, it seems to be a lot more aggressive with everything including app so it will be bogged down initially. Otherwise it should definitely be faster after that initial stage. At least that's what happens with my D1.

some things seem faster to me, some slower.

what I'm pissed about is the locked screen, where you slide the bar down to get into your home screen. you used to be able to just press menu to get past, but now you have to slide. yuck

I haven't noticed much of a slowdown (it was always pretty snappy), but I have noticed that apps will autostart at will, way worse than with 2.1. I've noticed my battery draining much faster.

The first day with Froyo tends to be a rough experience, as the OS is redownloading all of your previous apps and grabbing all the sync data. And all of that basically gets priority. After about a day, my Droid has been simply cooking. And I left it with the stock CM6 kernel (800mhz, versus 550 stock frequency), and noticed it still seemed like a really fast system, versus noticing slowdowns even with 1.2ghz on Android 2.1 ROMs. Now at 1.2ghz, this thing just flies... I haven't really experienced any issues and I've been running a lot of intensive apps as I get the system themed and tweaked some more.
