it depends on the car and other factors.
Suppose the factors are this:
Civic, 25 mph road, intersection without turning lanes, and a cop looking at you.

What's this cop business? I'm sensing a ticket. If I KNEW the cop was looking at me I'd probably take it slow, maybe 10mph. Cops make me nervous.

I've decided to fight a turning right on yellow ticket. I've got photos and the math. Together, they say I'd have to be driving slower than 4 mph while driving to have acutally broken the law. Of course, now the hard part is proving that I was driving faster than 4 mph while turning to the right. Clearly it is obvious that most people do, and when I question the cop in court I will ask him to estimate my speed. He may very well say ~10 mph and I'll win the case. But if I had a printout of typical turning speeds at intersections, that would certainly help my case if he decides to testify that I was driving slower than 4 mph. Original thread.

cop? then slow down. if you did a understeer/oversteer sharp turn, i guess he'd think you're showboating and will pull you over.

you didn't get pulled over, did you??? :D

I usually turn just fast enough that all the passengers in my car grab on to the handles for dear life and complain.

Thats why I got Z rated tires :)

The Z rating only applies to the maximum speed of the tyre. The traction rating on the other hand...

I have Z rated Double A traction tyres installed.

Yes, because My car tends to be the only one that seats four or five comfortably. Teh other people all drive little cars, or pickups with small or no back seats.

Double clutch it down to about 45 then accelerate to 70 as you powerslide through the apex.

I suspect that the reason for this post is that the OP was ticketed for making an unsafe turn. Hence his mention of the cop.

Yes, as I stated in my 2:40 post.
