Driving on Expired Motor Vehicle License Sticker

So...I moved from IL to MO(Missouri) and my license sticker expired. The process is REDICULOUS to get a new MO registration. Since my car is 3 years old, I have to get EVERYTHING possible done. To add to the frustration, everything is done in different places.

Purpose for the POST:

What's the longest you have driven on expired license tag, and if you paid a fine, how much was it?

I don't think they'll fine you if you start the process ASAP and ask for assistance. If they make the process really difficult and try to fine you, sue them....or threaten to.

Do you mean expired license plate tags?

If so, several months and I was never stopped. I only did it because I too damn lazy to get the new tags. 😱

Yeah thanks, my terminology was bupkus.

I bet I could drive with my IL plate in MO for quite some time, w/o any MO cop looking at my plates.

Oh well, got to get it done. Anyone that did get fined at all, I am interested in hearing your story. Fines, late fees, whatever.
