A few months ago, a Belgian driver was removed his driving licence for life !
This is the 1st time it happens in this country.
Do you think that's fair ?

Oooops, I forgot to tell you... He was 94 !

If he is a threat to other people while he is driving, then sure....... yank his ride ;) Like they say, it's a privilege not a right.

my next door neighbor turned all of 100 last week. There was a write-up in the local and state-wide paper. He had his license revoked because he couldn't see and got in an accident.

no big deal. Good for public safety.

It IS a privilage, not a right.

My grandfather had a stroke a few years back. As a result, he is blind in one eye, half his face is paralyzed, and he has VERY limited use of his arm and leg on that same side. And the state of Tennessee renewed his driver's license by mail. That's scary. My grandmother lets him drive too.
