I am driving across 80 today, started in Lincoln NE and am in Kimble near the Wyoming border now. Its freekin windy... gusts to around 70mph. I am driving a pickup with a cap on it. lucky it has my worldly possessions in the back to keep me on the road.
its actually pretty hard work to drive in these conditions. Looks like i will run into winter storms a bit past laramie Wyoming.

anyone else on the way cross country soon?

Thankfully no, but I've made that drive numerous times.

As a former Wyoming resident, I have to tell you all that it's not that the wind blows in Wyoming...Nebraska sucks. 😀

I drive to Laramie from CO to visit a friend at WU every now and then and I agree, the wind on the way is freaking terrible. If it's snowing relatively hard though, it get near impossible to see.

soon to a a wyoming resident.. im gonna have to remember that one.

70 mph? That's just a bad hair day in Wyoming. I lived in Cheyenne for a little while. If it's that windy up on the gang plank, the state patrol may close I-80 on you.
