Sorry, just have to rant a bit here cuz on my drive in to work this morning I was ready to stop in the middle of traffic and start beating people over the head for being so stupid. But this is just one thing that bugs the hell out of me...let's say yer toolin' down the road and you want to make a left turn...you're polite and use your turn signal (don't forget to fill up yer blinker fluid) but you have to wait for oncoming traffic before you can make your turn. Do you:

A.) Stop and wait in the middle of the f'in lane so no one else behind you can get past your big stupd fat ass and get on with their lives or
B.) Get yourself up snug to the center line of the road so people who want to can go by you?

Anyway, *technically* in many places you're not supposed to pass on the right of a car waiting to make a left turn unless there's another real lane there (not a shoulder).
I'll move over to the left when turning, but I won't "hug" the center line. I'd sooner inconvenience you for a minute than risk some moron plowing me head-on.

Some people, especially novice drivers are too insecure to get close to the center lane. I probably did the same thing first couple months I started driving. It does piss the hell outa me now, though.

I sit right in the middle of the lane, where I'm supposed to be. No sense in edging up close to the middle when chances are some idiot's going to be driving on the line coming the other way (people are absolutely terrible -- the worst I've ever seen -- drivers where I live). That and the fact, like other people have mentioned, that it's illegal to pass someone on the right side when they're turning left unless there's a lane there for it. One of my mom's friends got pulled over by a cop for doing just that.

Yeah inbred retard drivers do that all the time here even though it is very illegal and the cops pull people over all the time for it. Yet they still do it, the same gd people!

When making a left turn, j0ur tires should be straight and not turned. Reason being, if someone rear ends j00 and j0ur tires are turned, j00 are pushed into on coming traffic instead of going straight.

It shouldn't be matter of legal and illegal ... if ppl in a hurry, they will pass you ...

and you should make room on the right so ppl can pass you ... the ones that think that it's illegal won't pass you ...

it's just selfish to not get to the center ... though most drivers in America are selfish ... (driving in the left lane on the high way ... if I'm going 75 in 65 they should move right ... though I still break the law ... they shouldn't worry about me breaking the law... they should mind their own business)

Yes, but then people will piss and moan that this clown COULD have passed someone but didn't. I can't win, so I'm going to move over as far as I feel I can and if you can't squeeze by, tough nuts.

hmm .. there are much more dangourous things ... like when some fscker pulls out right in front of me (he had a stop sign) ... and I'm going at 50mph .... how does it feel ? ... and he is not some teen ... he's like 35-45 years old guy ... on his fscking big GMC :| ..

I don't know about other states, but in Texas its legal to pass on the right if the vehicle is stopped and you can do so safely.

That's why I stay in the middle of the road where I belong. Does it make me as a$$hole, maybe, but I bet if that person got pulled over because i got over far enough that they could go around me they'd be bit*hing because I let them by. Around here, it isn't very safe to get as close to the center line as possible, and i'm more concerned with my own safety rather than the person behind me that is in a hurry.
