Driving a truck without registration...

My truck isn't registered because they just started emissions testing and I already know I need a catalyctic converter installed. I opted on saving my $200-300 for Xmas money... I want to transport the truck to another county to sell it. What's the cheapest way to do it? Would it be wrong driving it 200 miles without current registration? I would definitely insure it...
 
If you get stopped, you're screwed. They will impound the vehicle in some cases. I'd recommend towing it.

I just found out yesterday that my reg on my STi expired Sept. 05 😱

Needless to say I'm going to the tag service shop today.
 
Sign the back of the title and make out a bill of sale to one of your friends that can drive it for you.
If they get pulled over they can tell them that he just bought it and if they ask why he didnt sign the title he can say his father loaned the money and he is on his way to his house to give the title to him to sign.

Whatever you do, if you attach plates from another vehicle, then they really start puttin' on the fines...does it still have an expired tag? I've done such a thing...was caught once, stopped for the cop (could have run down a jeep trail he wouldnt have been able to follow) and he let me off totally. Said he thought I'd run...but since I didnt..let me drive it home...

no, that is such a short trip , just go for it

just drive it through a mud puddle before you leave, the mud on the plate will be fine
