driver's side of car locking up
suggestions plz

I'm wondering if I just squirt some oil into the car lock, that it will loosen up the jamming because I'm twisting my key left and right and it's really hard to budge and get the lock open. A while back in December, me and my buddy was tryin' to get it open with a clothes hanger, repeadetly, until we called a locksmith, which cost me 75 freakin' bucks, which I'm trying not to think about it right now. anyhow, that's the history of it. by the way, I'm in Minnesota, and winter season is just about over, so I know for sure it's not ice or anything.

alright get back at me with any suggestions. the shop sounds nice, but I don't feel like burning my bank account too much right now.

If it's something you want to undertake, pull the door panels off and use some graphite like NBucket suggested. Also, while you have the panels off you could see if there is anything hanging up or causing the locks not to work right. Replace the locks with some from the junkyard if they're completely worn out.

okay so in what form of graphite are we looking at, and please suggest the best methods available for undergoing this kind of door lock cleaning?

the junkyard does not sound bad at all, but I wanna try the graphite thing first.
