I think im posting in the right thread, this asks about motherboard drivers and others. Anyway, I heard that if you're going to download drivers, get the new ones from online, that the CD is out of date. But for the specific motherboard im getting (Intel Extreme series, DP67BG) People are saying from the driver CD, to download the internet driver, and only that driver, get the rest from intel, online. As that one would never need to be updated, just a network port. And as for other drivers (Graphics card etc) I just download from online, right? CD would be outdated by then.

In general, you'd want the most recent drivers, as those would contain the latest bugfixes and newest features, and would have been tested against the latest version of the OS. Sometimes, however, a new version will introduce a bug or a performance issue; perhaps that's the scenario you're describing with the DP67BG. You see that a lot with video card drivers -- a new driver version introduces an inefficiency that reduces frame rates by 5 FPS and then all the hardcore gamers start posting about rolling back their drivers to the older version.

Find out why the older network driver is being recommended and then you can make an informed decision. Otherwise, just download everything from online, like you said.
