So I did the upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, went fairly smoothely, but I have noticed in device manager that there are non-initialized devices missing drivers. Mainly stuff I assume such as USB, chipset stuff. I checked Asus' website, but I am unable to find USB3 drivers for windows 10. Windows cant find drivers either.

Anyone have any issues such as this? Would a clean install possibly fix this?

Just to see what would happened, I loaded the Driver CD for my Asus last week and loaded all the drivers as I did on Windows 7, and everything went smoothly.

Different chipset, but you might want to give it a shot!

Hmm, stuff like base system device and SM bus controller are still there.

Odd, Asus' site says it is Windows 10 ready and under support for that board, under drivers, Windows 10 is an option with drivers released 8/7 for the chipset. That's where the SM Bus driver would come from I think, and possibly the "base system device" whatever that is referring to. Hardware ID may point you in the right direction for that.

USB3 I think is native to Windows 10 now, like USB 2 is native to Vista/7/8

So when I went through the update from 7, 10 showed that it was activated upon the first boot to the desktop. You never got this Shmee? That is strange.

No, I got that, but now it will not activate on a fresh install, at least not yet.

I wonder if it is just traffic. I did an upgrade last night to get the key for later, and even though it activated, it took several attempts to get any updates to show up.

Intel doesn't seem to be listing the latest chipset driver, they show 10.0.27 but Asus has a 10.1.1.7 driver for Windows 10. 10.1.1.7 is what I'm using. The only unknown device I have is root/NetTap6 which appears to be a common issue with Intel network driver and some Asus motherboards.

I uninstalled Windows 10 as the AS Media USB Driver is still missing from the Windows 10 Drivers section for the X-99 Deluxe :( I would always get an exclamation mark randomly in the device manager.

Also, every time I restart, I would hear the USB devices going on and off as if you had connected/reconnected them, this would go on non-stop for about 1 minute enough to drive me crazy.
