"However... no sale. This is too heavy, too tall and just plain too un-fun for my tastes."
"The Cayenne doesn?t have the lithe handling or nice steering you find in the X5 "
"All the controls feel heavy, like this was a 928 that has been eating Double Whoppers with cheese at Burger King for the past 20 years"
"Bottom line: I won?t complain about Porsche making an SUV anymore so long as no one makes me drive it again. Deal? "

I saw one on the hwy yesterday. Wasn't sure what it was, could make out some letters on the back but had to get right up next to it to read 'cayenne' and had 'S' after it.

To be honest, it looked more like something Hyundai produces these days then something I'd expect from Porsche.

It doesn't look like an SUV either, it looks more like a tall wagon, similar to the Nissan Murano, but not nearly as nice looking. And I really don't like the Murano either.

I've seen a few of these on the road, and just the other day I saw my first Touareg in action...the VW is a much more capable (and affordable) vehicle IMHO, and it looks better too.

on topic, i dont like the looks of the porsche SUV. looks too mundane to me, too mini van-ish. surprising that it doesnt perform well.

I would still take one any day of the week if I had to buy an SUV. That and an escalade on 24's
