Drivers loaded fine but no network access

Just reloaded an amd desktop using ASUS M2N SLI deluxe board. xP loaded fine and everything works but the two on board network connections. The drivers loaded fine & Windows shows no problem with the devices .... except that it thinks they are disconnected!

Trird reinstalling the network drivers and have same result. Suggestions greatly appreciated.

You install the chipset drivers, too? nVidia chipset network connections are useless without SMBus drivers installed.

I'm sure I did but will check. Device Mangler shows no errors.

Yea, just like I thought; they wree already there. Installing that dowload just uninstalled the existing ones then restarted & reinstalled them. Any other suggestions? I know the network cable is live. But both ports show disconnected.

I have shut off the firewall, and also made sure they are enabled. Drivers installed & windows shows no errors at all.
