Drivers for Windows 2000 (SideWinder)

Hi All,

I have the old MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro Stick.
Works excellent under 98SE (with using the 3.02 drivers from MS).
Recently, I am trying to install it under Windows 2000 but I cant
seems to find the appropriate drivers for it at MS's Site.

I was wondering if anyone of you knows where can I find these drivers,
I would like to have the Profile Manager and all the rest, as I have in
98SE.

Thanks,

Oren.

Go to Gaming Options in Control Panel.

Click Add and then scroll down to Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto Detect).

This should work, as I find it strange that MS would cripple its own OS by not allowing its own product to work with it.

You can say that again! its sure is wierd! ah well...

I guess I wont have the full capabilities of the Force Feedback Pro 1 ..
They pressuring you to buy the new version by not fully supporting the previous I guess..

Thanks anyway mate!

Oren.

I've had nothing but problems getting MS sticks to work correctly in 2K. Spent 50 bucks on a Precision Pro2, it said 2K compatible right on the box, and it WILL NOT be detected- I don't care what you do.
