Drivers for US Robotics 56K PCI Modem

I'm having problems getting a US Robotics 3CP2977 OEM PCI modem installed on a Windows 95 machine. When I put this modem into a PCI slot, Win95 detected it as a PCI Serial Device and brought up the dialog box that lets you specify the driver disk. I put in the floppy with the drivers I downloaded from 3COM and then told it to use A:\. The problem was that list box from which I was supposed to pick this modem was completely blank. It should have had "U.S. Robotics 56K Fax PCI" in the box as a choice. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You may need to just run the programs themselves that are on the disk instead of having WIN finding an .inf file.

Look for a setup or install program and run that.

Are you sure you downloaded the correct drivers for your card?

When you get that blank dialog box it generally means it can't find any hardware in your system that those drivers apply to.

Hmm i think it's cuz the correct drivers are like in a directory among other directories. i think you need to click on every directory or subdirectory.

or you can just search the disk for an INF file and then write down the directory name. then have win95 point to that directory when you are installing it.
