Drivers for Strange Resolutions

Does anyone know if current nVidia or ATI drivers would handle a monitor with a non-standard resolution, such as the new 1680x1050 Apple 20" LCD? It's a standard aspect ratio, same as 1920x1200.

If it's DVI, then the display device has a chance of feeding its native resolution's parameters down to the graphics card ... if the latter cares.

And if you're on Linux and X, you can make your own resolutions (and of course one that matches your display panel exactly).
