Drivers for sportster modem?

Ok, I have a USR 56K Sportster Fax Internal modem, but when I search for drivers, it asks all of these weird numbers and stuff. the only info I know on the modem is the name I mentioned earlier. does anyone know where I can get a stock driver for this modem for win '98?

the numbers are or should be on your modem, mine is in the case but haven't used in a year or so because cable now. but if I remember all that really matters is like the last 5 digits, should be on a white strip, most of the numbers start off the same.

like studdyman said...should be on a sticker on the modem itself. If not, you can download and run the modem upgrade program from the usr website and it will tell you the modem model number... there are directions for this on usr's site.

austin316: There's also a universal driver for USR modems. I forget which site I downloaded it from but I have it. It's only 85kb zipped. I'd be happy to e-mail you a copy if you want it.

austin316: In case you didn't find a driver yet, I have a USR 56k Sportster Fax internal modem too. The model number for mine is 2977. Give that a try at the 3COM.COM website.
