Drivers for Radeon 7500???

My Radeon 7500 comes in tomorrow (hopefully). I'm running Windows XP Final. Should I stick with the built-in drivers from XP or should I download some from, say, Rage3d.com??? I'm new to the whole ATI scene and as far as I know their not as good w/drivers as Nvidia (goodbye GeForce2 Pro...sorry..i needed the DVI on the Radeon).
 
xp does not have support for the 7500, Ati has just released drivers on there web site. so far I dont have any problems....
 
The ones on MaxReboot have a version number of 5.13.3281. The ones on the ATI website have a version number of 6.13.3276. What's the deal with that??😕
 
ATi does not update the drivers on their website often. I don't know why, nor do I care much! just get the latest ones from Rage3D (which links to MaxReboot).

as for the 6 and the 5, don't even bother trying to understand.. the win9x drivers are at 7.xx.xxxx or something like that..

Typically it's the last few (4) digits that you should look at when finding out if these drivers are newer than the ones on the website.. unless ATi has changed something and released new 6.xx.xxxx series drivers for win2k/xp, but I doubt it..
